25 kids - 25 stories
In the small village called Naviraí we are supporting a tiny project that is really a matter of heart for us. It is a foster home that looks after 25 kids, of which the youngest one is 2 years old, the oldest one 16. All these kids have their own life story. Some were disowned from their parents because they could not provide for them in the Favelas. Others had to experience a great deal of abuse. Again, others had to stand up as drug messengers or for other crimes. But no matter how different these stories are - there's one thing all kids have in common: They now have the chance to start a new life.
That's why the on-site team puts all its effort and a great deal of its heart in each and every one of the kids. Whether it is solid education, a healthy nutrition or pedagogical counselling: The kids are a 24/7 focus of attention.
Recently, we could see the kids jump for joy: After having received a generous donation we could renovate the completely destroyed and feral playing ground. Since that day the kids are romping in the garden again. ....of course only after the homework has been checked.
